Hey guys
Great podcast as always and thanks for another mention. Just wanted to set old Shaun ‘fuddy duddy’ Holley straight about the new features in the app. The profile and levelling up is all private so no need to worry about how you compare to Charlie far (badly like everyone else, we don’t need another method of being told that). The podcast has taught me about so many great games I didn’t know and the profile stuff is my first attempt at getting people to play new games and maybe find a new favourite! You get points for playing new games, updating your scores, rating games and sharing stuff on social media. There’s no achievements just yet just 25 levels to uncover.
The club feature gives you additional leaderboards to view, so all your listeners should join the tenpence club and will be able to compare there scores to other tenpencers without the rabble from the rest of the world. The next version will allow club admins to send messages to all club members, so you two can post messages about the game challenges, new podcasts, whatever you like!
Thanks again, keep up the good work and I hope Vic punishes Shaun in the arcade master quiz for missing the recording last time!
Sidekick is a great app which I downloaded due to being mentioned on the podcast. Would also be a great feature if you are notified when someone beats your score on a game.
And I disagree with Vic where he previously tarnished adult games, I always loved the Fantasia and miss world games amongst others.
A great version I only found the other day is Wow New Fantasia, instead of naked women turning into monsters they are transformed into women along the lines of Blunder Woman from the Russ Abbott show.
Also found a project that might interest Vic, someone trying to make a small Mame Cabinet using the Vectrex as it’s inspiration.
