Vectrex Asteroids Controllers

Asteroids Buttons Controllers for Vectrex and other Atari Style 9 pin “d plug” consoles & computers.

Available with either a black & white overlay  – reminiscent of the Atari Asteroids arcade cabaret cabinet
or colour overlay, reminiscent of the Atari full sized upright cabinet.

Vectrex controllers – the top row of buttons are mapped as Vectrex controller buttons –

1 – Rotate left
2 – Rotate right
3 – Thrust
4 – Fire
The lower button is Hyperspace and is mapped to the Vectrex joystick position “Down”

The vectrex controllers also have 2 buttons at the back, mapped to Vectrex joystick positions UP & Down
(this is useful for navigating flash cart menus and entering hi scores on games such as Vector Pilot)

Atari style 9 pin “d plug” controllers are wired differently, to match a traditional joystick.

Top row buttons
1 – joystick LEFT – rotate left
2 – joystick RIGHT – rotate right
3 – joystick UP – thrust
4 – joystick FIRE – fire
Lower row button – joystick DOWN – hyperspace

There are no UP & DOWN buttons on the back of the Atari Style controller (unless you specifically require them)
