The Ten Pence Swimmer Strategy Guide. Using a stiff 8 way joystick will help a lot in this game!!! Level 1 - Dosile Turtles. Swim up the screen grabbing the fruit bonuses and avoid the logs. Make sure you always get all 4 STRAWBERRIES. If you don't you won't get a 1000 point bonus at the end of the level. The turtles are easy to avoid. Just keep out of their way. Swim around or dive under the logs. Make sure you are pushing the joystick in a direction, or you may surface uinder an enemy or log! Level 2 - Snappy Crabs. Do the same as the first level, only this time, get the flashing yellow orb so you can kill off the crabs. This only lasts a short time though. Level 3 - Rushing Water Spiders. Same as the previous levels, only there are no logs to worry about this time. Stay at the bottom of the screen, so you can give yourself enough time to react where the spiders are going to dart to - they are fast! Getting the yellow orb as often as possible is essential to doing this level. Level 4 - Static Fishy Level. This time the screen stays still. There are 5 fish (Piranahs) to get rid of. Avoid the fish - they will home in on you and get the orb. The orb doesn't last as long on this level, so don't be too quick trying to kill the fishies. Be patient! When you kill the last fish, you swim up to the treasure island and get to become GREAT! The game goes back to the first wave, but there are more logs and the moving logs come down the screen at you this time... To swim past the big crab at the end of the first 3 levels - just Hold back at one side of the screen then swim across the crab's path and dive under to get past, or just rush up the screen on the opposite side of the crab and dive under if he gets too close.
